Service Description

Class registration: Please schedule your appointment to register for class. Registration will begin on Saturday, June 3rd thru July 5th, 2023 between the hours of 10:30am - 5:30pm. Registration will end July 5th, 2023. We are working to become a more sustainable community through the art of hat making. This is a fun activity for individuals/ group members to learn basic hat making skills. The following sewing techniques to be use are: fabric collage and applique' design, single stitch, zig zag sewing machine stitches, and basic hand sewing. Participants will create their own unique style bucket hat using fabric scrapes, to cut and sew into a beautiful hat. Each student will be provided a hat kit that includes fabric scraps, and hat pattern materials; 2 class sessions (which equals 2 days). Class will meet once a week on Saturday mornings, each session will be one and a half hours. Please note: Students will need basic sewing machine operation skills. Students will need to bring the following: a single stitch sewing machine with zig zag stitch; sewing machine needles, hand sewing needles and thread.
